Angelo Events and Tents
Laura and her husband John moved to San Angelo from Austin wanting to start their own business. Initially planning to purchase an existing business, Laura decided to start her own event planning and rental business after completing considerable research. She worked with SBDC business advisor Paul Howard on developing a business plan and loan proposal.
She attended many SBDC seminars and workshops and engaged the SBDC in a “marketing brainstorming session.” SBDC business advisor Pedro Ramirez assisted her with ideas for logo design and other marketing insights. Angelo Events and Tents was created and has expanded into a storefront location that offers Ms. Wall’s customers a spacious showroom and has ample storage space for the business. The company offers party and wedding rentals, tent rentals, and event planning and wedding planning services. Angelo Events and Tents services the Concho Valley area from Midland and Odessa to Sonora and Kerrville. They plan and create events all over the Concho Valley area from Midland and Odessa to Sonora and Kerrville. Angelo Events & Tents was chosen to provide the tents for the homecoming celebration for President George W. Bush and his family in Midland on January 20th, 2009. The event was coordinated by national event producer, Loud and Clear, Inc. from Cincinnati, Ohio. “We have done some large-scale tent jobs before, but this one will be hard to top!” owner Laura Wall stated, “We are pleased to represent San Angelo at this historical event.”
“Most of all, the staff at the SBDC have all been great supporters and very encouraging. Just knowing they were behind me and were ready to help with anything gave me the confidence to step out and start my business. I have been sincerely impressed with each one of the staff members as they are willing to go the extra mile to help a new business owner succeed.”
